When and where can I register for a language course?

The online registration is possible via the ZEMS-homepage, usually one week before courses begin. The registration for the intensive courses begins in the last lecture week of each semester.

Please note the registration procedure

Which language course is suitable for me?

The ZEMS placement test should determine the level of the language course. At the end of the test, you will be given a recommendation as to what course(s) are suitable for you.

The English courses contain the reference level in the title of the course and the admission requirements in the course descriptions.

Example 1: LV 110 English for Academic Purposes A2 (entry level requirement A1)

Example 2: LV 153 Fachorientiertes Englisch B2 (entry level requirement B2)

How can I determine my language level?

On the ZEMS-homepage you can find the English placement test.

Is there a placement test?

On the ZEMS-homepage you can find the English placement test.

Please bring the placement test result with you to class on the first day of teaching

I’m interested in a language course at ZEMS. Will the same course take place next semester?

Most of the language courses are offered continuously. However, there may be some changes in the curriculum. On the ZEMS-homepage, the curriculum corresponds to the current status of the respective semester.

Please also see the "News" section on the home page of ZEMS, where the curriculum on intensive courses in the semester break is published.
